Insurance really is for the unexpected

A MISSING nun’s habit, a cow which landed on a roof and several pairs of missing false teeth were among the strangest insurance claims of the year.

One claim came from a sports fan who smashed his TV during a post-match celebration. Another bizarre accident involved a Wii computer game fan who was leaping around his living room so energetically he broke a piece of furniture.

One claimant sent a claim for damage she had done to her house while sleepwalking while another tipped paint onto a new hand-made Italian wig.
