Hyder says recently-acquired PCS is performing well
PCS, which counts ScottishPower and SSE among its clients, employs about 40 people and Hyder chief executive Ivor Catto said at the time of the deal that he hoped its headcount would expand following the takeover.
In a trading update ahead of its full-year results, which are due to be published on 12 June, Hyder said trading in the Middle East has been ahead of last year, boosted by a £70m contract to design a section of the Doha Expressway in Qatar, but it expects to incur a loss in Asia.
Hyder said: “The group’s trading performance, favourable market positioning and diversified geographic base, together with a strong financial position give us confidence in the year ahead.”
