Humphery takes up JLL international role

Alasdair Humphery, managing director of commercial property heavyweight Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Scotland, has been promoted to "international director" following the firm's takeover of rival King Sturge last month.

New York Stock Exchange-listed JLL has promoted 24 people from across its global operations to its leadership group. Five of the 24 come from the UK, but Humphery is the only Scottish director among their number.

Humphery has worked for JLL for 22 years and will continue to preside over the company's operation in Scotland, which now has a workforce of about 140 following the King Sturge deal.

Following the takeover, Chris Macfarlane, who was "partner in charge" of King Sturge in Scotland, took over management of JLL's Edinburgh office.
