Holiday park saved by buyer

A HOLIDAY park in Dumfries and Galloway has been bought out of administration.

Craigieland, which operates from a 79 acre site near Moffat with 100 static caravan holiday homes and lodges, has been acquired by a newly-formed company, Beattock Country Park.

Paul Dounis of administrators Begbies Traynor said the deal was done after an “accelerated sales process”. He added: “It was important that the sale was concluded swiftly, ensuring there was no disruption to residents and to preserve the value of the business.

“Not only has the sale secured the jobs of the staff, but it has also given the business a brighter future in the hands of an experienced and well funded management team.”
