Hawkins Bazaar ‘remnants’ sold

THE eight remaining Hawkin’s Bazaar shops have been sold in a management buy-out backed by private equity firm Primary Capital, it emerged yesterday.

Tobar Group, which owned the chain, collapsed last month. Administrators from Zolfo Cooper closed 57 of its 65 stores, making about 300 of its 380 staff redundant.

The remaining eight shops, including a branch in Edinburgh, have now been sold, along with the trading name.
