Growth showing green shoots

A LAWN treatment business based in the Borders has unveiled plans to expand by 50 per cent over the next three years.

Iain Wharton, who introduced the GreenThumb franchise to the region in 2002, said he was looking to grow his 1,600-strong client list to 2,400. The firm currently has three full-time and two part-time staff.

Its expansion has been backed by Lloyds TSB. Relationship manager Jonathan Evans said: "Prospects for business growth are positive."
