The East Kilbride-based firm said current boss Keith Rogers is relocating to the US to become president of its fast-growing business on the other side of the Atlantic from next month.

“A search for a new group chief executive is underway,” said the company, which operates 46 sites across the UK and one in Los Angeles.

Rogers’ move was announced as Aim-quoted Goals – which delivered a profit warning in November – reported a 7 per cent decline in UK like-for-like sales for 2015.

Total sales for the 12 months to the end of December came in at £32.9 million, down from £34.7m the previous year, although the firm said trading was in line with revised market expectations. In November, the company said it expects to post a pre-tax profit of between £8.2m and £8.6m for the year, well below its previous forecast.

Goals said in September that construction of its second site in the US was due to begin in the second half of the year, while plans were taking shape for a further three sites.

“Our US business has again delivered strong growth with sales for the year up 9 per cent,” the company said today. Its annual results will be announced on 14 March.
