Glasshouse a clear winner for Alison

Alison Mathewson will have nowhere to hide now she has landed the top job at Edinburgh boutique hotel The Glasshouse.

But that won’t bother the hospitality career woman, who has 20 years’ experience of hotel and hospitality management across Scotland behind her. She has worked at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow, Dalhousie Castle & Spa in Midlothian, the Swallow Hotels in Glasgow and Peterborough and the Stakis Normandy Hotel in Renfrew.

Mathewson has taken over as general manager of the five-star city centre Glasshouse in time for the tourist season. She will oversee the hotel operations, which include meeting rooms and luxury wedding venue facilities as well as 65 bedrooms.
