The firm – set up in 2011 by Will Craig – said its first customer south of the Border is Pure Vehicle Leasing, a start-up looking to tap into the growing car-leasing industry.

This comes amid several high-profile Scottish client wins, including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Craig said the English contract win came on the back of the agency doing a lot of work with “decent-sized” fleet firms in Glasgow, such as Fleet Alliance.

He said the firm is targeting “all sort of audiences” and recently received enquiries from California and Canada, and will grow its international presence “as the work comes in”. The firm rebranded in the middle of last year from Glasgoweb.

Staff numbers at Digital Impact have grown to ten and Craig said this is set to grow to 18 to 20 over the next 18 months.

Craig said: “We’re a web-development and marketing company, and we want to specialise in that field and not claim to do things we can’t do – just do things really well.”

The business is also eyeing plans to open an office in Edinburgh with a couple of staff, with Craig saying this step “geographically makes sense” given that it has several clients in the city, including a major insurance company.

Turnover has now reached about £500,000 and the aim is to grow this within the next two years to £750,000 to £1 million.
