Gladedale chooses Bowkett as chairman

GLADEDALE, the property group that last year underwent a sweeping restructuring, has appointed Alan Bowkett as non-executive chairman.

The firm, which owns Bett Homes and Manor Kingdom in Scotland, in addition to a number of urban regeneration and partnership operations, said Bowkett would bring "extensive chairmanship experience and in-depth knowledge of the construction sector".

Until earlier this year, he was chairman of housebuilder Redrow and was previously head of construction industry supplier Boulton & Paul.
