Galliford Try builds on increase

Housebuilder Galliford Try said yesterday that a resilient economy in south-east England helped it sell more homes at higher prices in the last 12 months.

The firm said it completed 3,039 houses in the year to end of June, up 40 per cent on the previous period.

The average price for sales to private buyers was £250,000, up from £$227,000 a year earlier.
