GADGET repair outfit Regenersis, one of the biggest employers in the Scottish electronics industry, yesterday bought South Africa’s largest television set top box repairer for £1.5 million

Aim-quoted Regenersis will take over Landela Electronics’ operations in East London and Johannesburg, which service 12 African countries in total.

Matthew Peacock, executive chairman at Regenersis, said: “As a bolt-on deal, this acquisition fits the profile of what we are trying to do very well and we are pleased to announce it so soon after a successful fundraising.”

In the UK, Regenersis – which employs about 800 staff at Glenrothes and Inchinnan – repairs gadgets for companies including HTC, John Lewis and Samsung.
