Fort Kinnaird retail park sees jump in employment

Record numbers of people have found work at Edinburgh's Fort Kinnaird retail and leisure park in the past 12 months.

Bosses said that in the financial year to April, some 1,350 vacancies had been filled, comprising 800 permanent jobs and a further 550 seasonal posts, amid to a major drive to support job seekers, as well as significant expansion at the site.

The park’s dedicated Recruitment & Skills Centre is also predicting high levels of job retention, thanks to record numbers of clients benefiting from their training and support. This includes a 29 per cent increase in jobseekers benefiting from pre-employment training.
