Five construction firms in £600m NHS building deal

FIVE construction companies have been appointed to a £600 million project to build, refurbish and maintain hospitals and doctors’ surgeries in Scotland.

Balfour Beatty, Graham, Kier, Laing O’Rourke and RMF Health were selected for the six-year “Frameworks Scotland 2” works programme.

John Connolly, interim assistant director of Health Facilities Scotland, said: “Frameworks Scotland 2 builds on the success of the first framework, which has seen 41 completed NHS facilities with a value of £336m delivered to date and a further 16 either on site or in development with a value of £144m.”
