Edinburgh office plans for Aberdein Considine

Aberdein Considine is opening offices in Edinburgh as it expands its legal and financial services into the Central Belt.

The Aberdeen-based firm has already moved into Bathgate, Glasgow and Livingston and is opening two branches in Edinburgh, the first with an initial team of seven. These new offices will bring the total across Scotland to 17.

Aberdein Considine, a top 20 Scottish law firm by turnover, has already seen its Glasgow staff numbers increase from five to 11 since opening in the city last

October.

Harvey Aberdein, managing partner, said: “We are tremendously excited to open in the capital. In a time of general gloom in the business sector, particularly amongst legal firms, we have recognised huge opportunities in the Central Belt.

Established in Aberdeen in 1981, Aberdein Considine operates across Scotland. The firm – which employs more than 270 staff – is a broadly based practice, offering legal, property and financial professional advisory service.

The Edinburgh office is officially opened by justice secretary Kenny Macaskill tomorrow.
