Dulas doubles its staff in Scotland

One of the UK’s longest-established renewable energy specialists is doubling the size of its operations in Scotland.

Since opening its Stirling office in October 2010, Welsh energy consultancy and management firm Dulas has gained work with “a number of high-profile clients” in Scotland.

The office, which will hire an additional eight staff this year taking its headcount to 16, is the 30-year-old company’s first regional headquarters.

Marketing manager Mike Clay said: “Scotland has the perfect conditions for generating a significant renewable energy portfolio … and we are proud to have delivered some high-performing projects for some of Scotland’s leading organisations.”

He described Scotland as providing the firm with “an abundance of high-quality renewable energy specialists”.

Since expanding into Scotland, Dulas has delivered projects including two river hydro schemes in Glenmoriston in the Highlands and the first of a number of 100kW wind turbines at a site near Stranraer.

The Scottish Government has a target of producing 100 per cent of electricity demand from green sources by 2020.

Clay said: “As the demand for Dulas products and services continues to grow, we are confident we will find the high-calibre specialist staff we need.”
