Dignity sales up after acquisitions

Dignity, the UK's only listed provider of funeral services, increased its sales by 5.8 per cent to £145.2 million in the 39 weeks to 24 September, figures yesterday revealed.

The result was boosted by the acquisition of six funeral locations and three new crematoria since the start of the year. Underlying operating profits increased by 4.7 per cent to 45m, a performance "in line with expectations".
