Dawson sells linen arm for millions

Scottish textiles firm Dawson International yesterday unveiled a multi-million pound deal to sell its Dawson Home Group business.

The operation, which is being acquired by Brookmann Home, employs 53 staff and will continue to run from its base in Ardwick, Manchester. It designs and sources bed-linen from around the world for a number of major retailers.

David Bolton, the chairman of Dawson International, said: "This transaction is a positive result for all parties. DHG has experienced challenging trading conditions in recent years."
