The firm, owner of FirstScotrail, has received competition clearance from the European Commission to form a joint venture with DSB for public passenger rail services in Denmark and Sweden. DSB is wholly owned by the Danish Ministry of Transport.
It would see the firms operate a rail service under the banner Oresundstag.
