Cornerstone bolsters Edinburgh office with four hires

Financial advice firm Cornerstone Asset Management has unveiled four key appointments at its Edinburgh office.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Alan Reid – formerly of Heath Consulting and Balmoral Asset Management – joins the wealth manager’s senior management team with a focus on business development for both corporate and private clients.

Cornerstone has also created a new management position with the appointment of Suzanne Reid as operations director. She has more than two decades’ experience in the industry and joins from Turcan Connell Asset Management.

In addition, Scott Snedden joins Cornerstone as a chartered financial planner from Balmoral Asset Management, while Louise Melville – who has worked with Reid for more than 20 years – has been appointed personal assistant to the management team.

Cornerstone co-founder Laurie Dempster said: “These new appointments underline Cornerstone’s commitment to further growing our corporate and private client business.

Dempster added that the firm, which also has an office in Glasgow, is “focused on delivering real growth and expansion south of the border”.
