A recruitment firm that specialises in roles in the fast-growing data science sector has seen annual revenues hit record levels of more than £4 million.
Glasgow-based MBN Solutions said revenues in its last financial year rose by 58 per cent to £4.2m.
The company, which declined to release profit figures, said demand for expertise in “blockchain” database technology and the “internet of things” was helping fuel expansion.
Growth across the business has also led to it establishing a separate company structure for its MBN Consilium data insight and analytics business.
MBN chairman Paul Forrest, who was last month named in a list of the 100 most influential people in the “big data” sector, said: “MBN has many exciting opportunities and by allowing Consilium to have its own corporate structure this will facilitate further investment in growth and new opportunities for MBN’s core activities”.
