Marketing recruitment agency Denholm Associates is launching an “employer brand” consultancy, helping businesses stand out when it comes to hiring staff.
It said the new venture known as Inside Out is the first organisation of its kind in Scotland and is targeting the SME sector, headed by advertising stalwart Mark Gorman and HR specialist Keith Thompson alongside Nicki and John Denholm.
Gorman said: “We want to help businesses enhance performance and become more profitable by getting the best out of their existing people, attracting the best new recruits and developing a strong people brand. To do this we need to help companies from inside the organisation and then communicate the branding positioning outside as increasingly companies need to clearly differentiate themselves in the crowded and competitive employment market, especially in ‘tough-to-hire’ talent groups.”
Denholm chief executive Nicki Denholm said: “We know first-hand how important it is for an employer to have a strong brand that can attract the highest calibre of candidates. But it is vital that the reality of the experience matches the expectations they have created. Many companies invest heavily in their consumer or trade brand for their products or services but don’t invest at all in their employer brand and this leads to a disappointing employee experience. We’re on a mission to change that.”
