Network Rail, the authority responsible for Britain’s railway network, is shunting its operations into a Motherwell office block after agreeing a deal to lease the entire building.

Airbles House comprises almost 18,000 square feet over three levels, and the deal has been agreed by property consultancies CBRE and Lambert Smith Hampton on behalf of the landlord, Regent Capital. JLL represented Network Rail.

Alistair Urquhart, associate director at CBRE, said: “Airbles House is a fantastic building. It is therefore no surprise that a high-profile organisation such as Network Rail decided to take the entire building for its operations.”

Alistair Reid, director at JLL, added: “As a destination for doing business, Motherwell is a great town and I’m sure the quality of the working population, excellent transport links and the surrounding amenities available to staff represent a great offering for Network Rail as an employer.”
