Cisco to highlight web opportunities

Computer networking giant Cisco is to host a breakfast seminar in Edinburgh on Thursday to highlight the risks and opportunities of doing business over the internet.

Organised with the Scottish Council for Development & Industry, the event – at the Point Hotel on Bread Street – will also present the findings of Cisco’s Connected World Report.

Donald McLaughlin, Cisco’s director for Scotland, said there are more mobile phones than people around the world and “tech-obsessed 20-somethings” would rather lose their wallet than their handset.
