Gillespie Macandrew has appointed corporate and commercial solicitor Chris Gibson to its Edinburgh office.
Gibson, who is dual-qualified in Scots and English law, brings with him more than 12 years’ experience and joins the firm as an associate from Jacksons, where he was head of its corporate and commercial team in Newcastle.
He is also a chartered company secretary and has particular expertise in advising software and technology companies from start-up through to sale, including a disposal last year worth £19.5 million.
Gillespie Macandrew chief executive Chris West said: “Chris’ appointment marks a further expansion to our corporate and commercial services and is part of our overall strategy to build on our growth as one of Scotland’s leading law firms.
“His wide experience and dual qualification in Scottish and English law will bring an additional breadth to the wide range of services that we offer our clients.”
