Scotland’s thriving business angel community will be in the spotlight this week as investors from across Europe descend upon Edinburgh for a key summit.
Members of the Business Angel Europe Club will hear from Linc Scotland – the national network for business angels – and some of its members, about how what has become known as “the Scottish model” operates.
Those private/public partnerships frequently see angel investing groups lead on investment, matched by public sector funding through the Scottish Investment Bank.
The two-day event at Edinburgh’s Glasshouse Hotel is expected to see attendees arrive from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and elsewhere in Europe.
David Ovens, chief operating officer at Archangels, said: “We’re proud of what the angel investing community has achieved here in Scotland and we’re happy to share our knowledge.”
