Castle View in a new direction

LEISURE and food group Castle View International is hoping to break into Scotland’s facilities management market nearly ten years after acquiring an English subsidiary in charge of sport and leisure centres across 23 local authorities south of the Border.

Managing director Martin Bell has also signalled the potential for expansion at the group’s Uin pizza factory in Cambuslang, which has returned to profit after a difficult year of soaring commodity prices.

Based in Bridge of Allan, Castle View has aspired to extend its Sports and Leisure Management (SLM) subsidiary into Scotland since Bell’s father, late company chairman Frank Bell, acquired Leicestershire-based SLM in 2002. The group posted a near-30 per cent rise in pre-tax profits to £1.48 million for the year to March on turnover of £76.8m.
