Cameroon well's a winner for Bowleven

BOWLEVEN, the Edinburgh-based oil and gas explorer, yesterday hailed the success of its Sapele-1ST appraisal well off the coast of Cameroon.

Kevin Hart, chief executive of the Aim-quoted firm, said the flow rates from the well "are believed to be commercial".

An update on the company's highly-anticipated Sapele-2 well in the same area is expected within the next two-to-three weeks, Bowleven added.
