Bruce Connelly changes tack on joining French Duncan

A SENIOR lawyer has switched into the rival profession of accountancy.

Bruce Connelly, previously at law firm Anderson Strathern, has become tax director of mid-tier accountancy practice French Duncan.

Managing partner Robert Kerr said: "We are very pleased to have secured a taxation adviser of Bruce's calibre and experience. He is a well-known and respected figure in the business community."

Meanwhile, Scottish "big four" law firm Maclay Murray & Spens has added four members to its partnership: Robert Buchan, who becomes an intellectual property and technology partner in Edinburgh; Aberdeen-based Malcolm Gunnyeon, who works in commercial dispute resolution; and corporate lawyers David McGrory and David Young in Edinburgh. Ten of the firm's solicitors have been promoted to associates.
