Bovis on track for ‘excellent’ first-half results

Housebuilder Bovis Homes today said it was on course to report “excellent” results for the first half of the year after enjoying a surge in sales.

The group said legal completions during the six months to 30 June soared 54 per cent to a record 1,487, with the average selling price rising 11 per cent to £210,000.

Chief executive David Ritchie said: “Bovis Homes has delivered its highest ever number of first half year legal completions, driven by the high quality investments made during the last few years.

“This is expected to lead to excellent first half results with a material improvement on last year.”
