BoS poaches Clydesdale’s McKerracher for Glasgow role

Bank of Scotland has named former Clydesdale Bank regional director Scott McKerracher as its senior manager for small business banking in Glasgow.

The lender said McKerracher, who has 30 years’ experience, will head up a team of relationship managers and support the growing small business market in Glasgow and the west of Scotland.

At Clydesdale, he was regional director for the east of Scotland, overseeing corporate, acquisition finance, commercial, small business and private banking.

He also led responsibility for commercial banking across the UK, as well as managing the national industry sector team.

Graham Blair, Bank of Scotland’s area director for Scottish SME banking, said: “With three decades’ experience working with Scotland’s business community, the past eight years of which has been dedicated to supporting the country’s small and medium-sized firms, Scott brings considerable knowledge and expertise to our business.”

McKerracher added: “I feel the bank is in a fantastic position, having re-shaped the business and has in place a strong plan for growth, which is integral for meeting the needs of our customers, not just for small and medium-sized firms but across the board.
