The Big Partnership has made two “strategic appointments” designed to meet rising demand for digital services.

And the agency said it now has the capacity to more than double the size of its digital marketing teams following recent investment in a new custom-designed studio in Dunfermline, with recruitment already underway for new developers, designers and project managers.

Allan Barr, head of digital at Big, said: “Digital channels are now playing an increasingly important role in brands’ marketing strategies. That’s precipitating a significant rise in demand for services such as search engine optimisation, email marketing, social media, and pay-per-click (PPC), as more people look for products and services online.”

He said advances in technology were opening up “unprecedented opportunities” for companies to reach their target audiences and measure how effective they are.

Jessica McAndrew, previously head of online marketing at Frame, is moving to Big as digital account director, based at the company’s Glasgow headquarters. She will take on responsibility for developing and managing digital marketing strategies and campaigns, as well as promoting client websites.

Big has also appointed Alice Ritchie as digital account manager. She had spent more than two years at DigitasLBi as a digital search manager.
