The Edinburgh Airport Forum also serves as a platform for the airport to share its strategic vision and advise members on proposed air route developments.

There are hopes it will help to further develop fast tracking and other business passenger services.

The group will include representatives from many of the major hotel brands operating in the Scottish capital, travel management companies such as Colpitts World Travel, and the city’s key conference and events venues.

Edinburgh Airport chief Gordon Dewar said: “The creation of the Edinburgh Airport Forum is a great way for us to directly engage with Scotland’s travel and hospitality sector.

“Over 30 per cent of our passengers travel on business and we have 48 daily services to London alone. We’re committed to working with our industry partners to ensure we provide our customers with the very best choice and experience.”
