Berti investments backs Ecometrica with cash

ECOMETRICA, an Edinburgh-based firm whose software helps businesses reduce their carbon emissions, has received a £250,000 funding boost.

The growth capital from Berti Investments, a specialist fund set up to back “green” companies, comes shortly after Ecometrica secured more than £500,000 from Highgate Tech Fund to expand its global sales and marketing and back further product development.

Chief executive Richard Tipper said: “Berti’s investment will support our global ambitions and underscores our success in developing market-leading services and solutions”

Ecometrica has developed a web-based system that allows businesses to measure their greenhouse gas impact and adopt methods of reducing or offsetting it.
