Beartrap sinks teeth into Asian mobile games market

Video game developer Beartrap Games has set its sights on the huge Asian market with a “localised” version of its flagship title.

The Dundee-based firm’s arcade shooting game, Sky Patrol, was released for the Windows Phone platform in August and launched this month for Apple’s iPhone and iPad.

Commercial director Grant Alexander said the company has now teamed up with Japanese publisher Chorus Worldwide to translate the Apple version for gamers in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
