Barrhead Travel in jobs expansion move

BARRHEAD Travel, the UK’s largest independent travel group, is investing more than £1.5 million to create 80 jobs in an expansion programme.

The company’s headquarters in Glasgow will see the bulk of the additional posts with 50 vacancies across sales, marketing, IT and human resources.

A further 20 posts will be created in its stores in Edinburgh and the east and ten in Aberdeen and the north.

The company, which for five years running has been named as one of the UK’s best companies to work for, currently employs 750 staff across 55 locations.
