Balfour Beatty in £18m Glasgow deal

Construction giant Balfour Beatty yesterday confirmed it had won an £18 million contract for work on Land Securities’ latest residential and retail development in Glasgow.

The 155,000 sq ft development at 185-221 Buchanan Street was among a raft of contracts in the commercial sector announced by the firm yesterday, totalling £100m. The other work is in London.
