Balfour Beatty in new grid contract

Balfour Beatty, the construction and maintenance group, has secured a five-year extension to its contract with National Grid in an agreement worth up to £750 million.

The firm said the deal, which involves design work, programme management, construction and technical support for National Grid’s electricity network, would “draw on a wide range of Balfour Beatty resources”.
