Baillie’s Barker joins board of SFE

KENNETH Barker, a partner at asset management firm Baillie Gifford, has joined the board of Scottish Financial Enterprise.

Barker started working at Baillie Gifford in 2001 and is now a director in the institutional clients department with special responsibility for fixed-income clients. He has been a partner in the company since 2008.

He said SFE can play an important role “in ensuring that Scotland remains an excellent home for global financial services.”

Anne Richards, chief investment officer at Aberdeen Asset Management, retired from the SFE board at the annual meeting having served the maximum six-year term. SFE chairman Mark Tennant said: “Anne has made an outstanding contribution to SFE over the past six years. Her dedication, enthusiasm and sharp intellect have been exceptional.”
