Aberdeen non–exec joins Spirit board

PUB operator Spirit has appointed a non-executive director of Aberdeen Asset Management to its board.

Julie Chakraverty will join the company “with immediate effect” as a non-executive director, Spirit said yesterday. Chakraverty spent 13 years at UBS Investment Bank, where she was a board member and held a number of “senior global leadership positions”.

Spirit chairman Walker Boyd said: “She will bring with her invaluable financial experience and insight. We look forward to working with her as Spirit continues to grow.”
