Boris Johnson’s diary contains ‘nap time’ for him during the day, Downing Street insider claims

Boris Johnson’s official schedule contains time for him to “power nap”, according to a report from a Downing Street insider.

The anonymous source told Times Radio on Monday that it “would not be entirely uncommon in the diary for him to shut the door and have a kip for half an hour or so,” before continuing with his duties as Prime Minister.

The unnamed source, who described the time carved out in Mr Johnson’s schedule as “a power executive business nap”, said napping helped the Prime Minister get “ready for the rest of the day”.

Another official complained that Mr Johnson is regularly late for the first meeting of the day, telling the radio station that “he keeps his own time".

A spokesman for No. 10 denied the claim that he naps during the day, insisting the Prime Minister’s day “is literally full of meetings.”

“He is hard at work and has a very full and busy schedule,” they added.
