Blow for Rangers and Scotland as Ryan Jack ruled out until 2021/22 season

Ryan Jack will miss the rest of the season and this summer’s European Championships, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has revealed.

The midfielder has been struggling with a calf issue and had to pull out of Steve Clarke’s national team squad last month. He hasn’t played since a 4-1 victory over Dundee United in February.

Gerrard says doctors have now been able to identify the cause of the problem with the player soon going under the knife. He is expected to regain fitness in time for pre-season training.
