Bishopbriggs: Police appeal after two cars spotted driving erratically and at high speed in Glasgow

An appeal for information has been launched after two cars were reported driving erratically and at high speeds in the Bishopbriggs area of Glasgow.

The incident happened around 4pm on Friday, April 2 and involved a grey Vauxhall Astra and a silver BMW X5 on Auchinairn Road.

Detective Sergeant Gill Alexander from Maryhill CID said: “This incident took place in broad daylight on a busy road with children and families around, and it would have been very shocking to witness.

“I am appealing to anyone who was either walking or driving along Auchinairn Road, and noticed these two vehicles, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge any motorists with dash-cams who were on the road to check their footage, in case they have captured any footage which could be of significance, such as the registration plates of the vehicles.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 2649 of Friday, 2 April, 2021."
