The estate is exceptionally scenic, situated on the shore of Loch Dochart, at the foot of Ben More.

He added that the business was founded in the late 1970’s and that they expect a “considerable degree of interest” as people across the country are looking to improve their work-life balance in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Portnellan House is a Victorian house located on the south side of the estate with gorgeous views over the surrounding countryside.

The outside space includes a garden with a pond, garages, a workshop, a log store, an office and a tarmac parking area.

The holiday chalets are made of timber and are set in landscaped ground surrounded by mature woodland, and they all have decking areas outside and car parking.

Five chalets are owned by the business, while a further 17 have been sold, with Portnellan operating a structured management contract with the owners of these properties including maintenance, housekeeping and marketing the properties for bookings.

The current owners have a very proactive approach to marketing and have a significant advertising presence on a range of tourism web sites.

Dating back to the 15th century, Portnellan estate is steeped in history, the name itself derives from being the port of the Loch Dochart castle which is situated on a private island in the neighbouring loch.
