GLENFIDDICH'S new Snow Phoenix whisky marks the dramatic events of last winter, when heavy snow caused the roofs of some of its warehouses to collapse, leaving many maturing oak casks exposed.

In temperatures of -19C, distillery staff swung into action, working round the clock to clear the snow and rescue the precious whisky. Their efforts have been rewarded with the production of a limited-edition bottling called Snow Phoenix, which uses natural strength and non-chill filtered casks of different ages and finishes, including American oak and Oloroso sherry, to produce a single malt, gold in colour with bright copper highlights.Glenfiddich has dedicated Snow Phoenix to the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and made a special contribution to its funds so you can splash out with a clear conscience.
