FILM: TRUE ROMANCE

True Romance is an often overlooked Quentin Tarantino-penned masterpiece. Although he reportedly grown bored of the project before selling the script, Tony Scott brought this truly ramshackle love story to life with wit, style and a blockbuster cast (Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson all featuring in supporting roles). A chance to revisit a true modern classic deservedly back on the big screen.

COMEDY: DANIEL SLOSS

Following another successful run at the Fringe and various appearances on US television, a more mature Daniel Sloss has taken his latest stand-up hour, Dark, out on the road. The 25-year-old comic will be enrapturing audiences at the Lemon Tree and playing with the idea of what it means to be labelled as a “dark” comedian.

EVENT: ‘FOR THE RECORD’

A collaborative effort from Faber Social and Book Week Scotland, Edinburgh’s Summerhall will be host to a night of storytelling and music, diving right into the backstory and secrets of the Scottish music scene with folk musician James Yorkston, radio DJ Vic Galloway and author Richard King.
