1 MUSIC: World Jazz Orchestra
Celebrating the world-wide appeal of jazz, a unique Jazz Big Band comes together, under the direction of Scotland’s most celebrated jazz musician, Joe Temperley, to play a Duke Ellington programme that features some of his rarest and greatest work and, of course, some of his greatest hits. They’ll play music from Black, Brown And Beige, The Latin American Suite, The Far East Suite and The Queen’s Suite, alongside Mood Indigo, Take The A Train and Caravan. The young singer, Cecile Salvant, will join the band to sing some of those great tunes.
