Wedding show launches with dress made of thistles

A model has donned a wedding dress made of thistles to launch the Scottish Wedding Show.

Hayley Buchanan, a former Britain’s Next Top Model contestant, showed off the custom-made dress on Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Wedding Show returns to the SECC in Glasgow this weekend.

The “one-stop-shop” for brides offers 300 of the UK’s leading wedding suppliers under one roof, covering everything from cars and cupcakes to bridal gowns and bands.

It will also feature live catwalk shows with bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and outfits for mothers and guests, an afternoon tea room and a cocktail bar.
