Weather fails to dampen RockNess mood

POLICE praised music lovers after the three-day RockNess festival passed without any major incident.

Despite torrential rain over Saturday and Sunday, around 30,000 fans remained in good spirits enjoying acts including Leftfield, Plan B and Blondie.

Thousands also partied on the opening night of the festival, at Dores near Inverness, on Friday and saw Fatboy Slim perform. Other top acts included Friendly Fires, Ian Brown and Pearl and the Puppets.
