A definitive list of every film appearing on Scottish TV this festive period from December 17 to New Year's Day.

Whether you're looking to fill in the lull after Christmas lunch or bed in for a classic film on Christmas Eve, there's plenty for film buffs to choose from on Scottish TV channels this festive period.

This year, animation fans are in for a treat, but there's impressive documentaries, comedies, Christmas horrors and heartwarming family fun too.

17 December

The late Alan Rickman brings some clout to Eye in the Sky (Film4, 9pm), the Iraq war thriller starring Helen Mirren, while Jim Carrey's The Grinch (ITV2, 6.55pm) will give the kids something gloriously silly to get stuck into.
